Shake well then spray in short, even passes over the well-chilled item. The oil base is more forgiving than cocoa butter: can temperature is less critical, but a frozen product still guarantees a tight velvet texture. Cross the passes for even coverage without overloading.
Note: the oil-based formula also adheres to cold buttercreams, whereas cocoa butter sprays require a frozen surface.
