Sponge cake mold Ø18 cm: the classic round silicone mold
This mold reinvents the traditional sponge cake in silicone: Ø180 mm, 65 mm height, and 1500 ml, the reference size for round layer cakes and entremets. The flexible sides release the whole sponge cake without cutting or breaking the edges.

Usage tips
Pour the batter two-thirds full and bake at moderate heat: the 65 mm height allows slicing two to three even layers for assembling a layer cake. Let cool completely before slicing with a serrated knife or slicer. Silicone molds do not require parchment paper at the bottom.
Note: silicone insulates slightly: add a few minutes compared to metal molds and test with a knife in the center.
