Usage tips

Reserve gauge 20 for main stems and internal support structures. For petals and leaves, go down to gauges 24 to 28: the thickness hierarchy gives a natural hold to the bouquet, with the rigid base supporting the fine elements. Work your petals in flower paste, which dries firm enough to be mounted on wire.

Assembly suggestion for an XXL peony: twist two gauge 20 wires for the central stem, form the center into a ball, then add rows of petals on gauge 26 wires, fixed to the main wire by wrapping. Modeling tools like ball and veiner give shape before drying.
