Usage Tips

Knead the paste briefly to soften it, then roll it out to 3 to 4 mm thickness on a surface dusted with icing sugar, using a non-stick rolling pin. Allow about 600 g to cover a 15 cm cake, 800 g for 20 cm, and 1 kg for 25 cm: the 2.5 kg size covers a full three-tier cake. Apply from top to base and remove air with a smoother using downward strokes.

For 3D modeling, add a pinch of CMC powder: the paste firms up and figures hold their shape when drying. Wrap unused paste tightly; it dries quickly when exposed to air.

Note: Ingredients: sugar paste, potato starch, glucose syrup, hydrogenated palm vegetable fat, xanthan gum (E415), stabilizer (E420), preservative (E202), natural lemon flavor. Compliant with EC regulation 1333/2008.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the paste color easily?
Yes, its intense white faithfully reproduces gel colorants. Place the colorant in the center, fold and knead until marbling disappears. For dark shades, allow time for the color to develop.

What if the paste is too firm when opened?
Warm it between your hands or with very short bursts at minimum power in the microwave, then knead. Work at room temperature, never on paste taken from a cold room.

For covering or modeling, do you need two different pastes?
The Elite covers both uses: as is for covering, with added CMC for modeling. Dedicated pastes and other colors are gathered in the Sugar Paste collection.
